These are life lessons that Maria, the main character, learns during extraordinary encounters with a royal eagle, a dessert fox, a Benghal tiger ... One of today's most talented artists, Romanian Mircea Doinaru, created the superb illustrations of this book. His delicate watercolors are full of strength and yet reflect sensitivity. The illustrations add to the atmosphere of these stories written in the classic style of Oscar Wilde or Wilhelm Hauff.
